I love making quick crochet Cup Cozies and Cup Sleeves for markets. They use up all those extra bits of yarn after other projects are done. My market customers can’t get enough of them. These cup cozies make great little gifts, especially when paired with a reusable cup.
The Dundee Cup Cozy pattern is a quick, adventurous beginner or intermediate crochet pattern. It uses Half Double, Herringbone Half Double and some Third Loop Stitches.
If you’d like to have a .PDF copy of the Dundee Cup Cozy, the pattern can be purchased on Ravelry or on Etsy.
For the Dundee Cup Cozy, you will need
Yarn– Worsted Weight #4 yarn. I used Lion Brand Jeans in the color Top Stitch 0.6oz /45yd 18g/41m
You could use a different worsted weight yarn and even use a different weight yarn all together, but you may need more or less yarn depending on what you choose to use.
Hook– US size J crochet hook (6.0 mm)
If using a different weight yarn, use the hook size recommended on the yarn label, just know that you may need to adjust the number of stitches for each round.
Extras-yarn needle, scissors and measuring tape (optional).
